Nautical Themed Baby Shower

Sign on Specialty Drink Station:  This is really easy to do for a nautical themed baby shower, simply print out Drink Like A Fish in different fonts see creating your own printables to learn to download fonts.   Print and cut.  Cut out some background paper a little bigger than then text, I used dark blue to be consistent throughout the shower.  Simply glue the text to the background paper and hang vertically from a drink dispenser with string and small clothes pins. Nautical Center piece:  This is really easy for a nautical themed centerpiece.   Simply purchase some nylon boat rope at a boating store or hardware store.  Either Tape, glue or simply secure the bottom of the rope at the bottom and wind it up the vase.  I used a small circular vase (can be used for table setting center pieces) and a larger cylinder vase for a buffet center piece. Napkins: These are really easy and turned out super cute.  Simply purchase some paper blue napkins, white plastic ware, boat rope and burlap.  Simply wrap a fork and knife around the napkin and cut a piece of burlap to fit around the napkin to make a ring.  Cut a piece of boat rope and use that to tie the burlap to the napkin.  Make a 1/2 bow by starting with the normal knot, then looping like you’re going to make a bow, rather than looping around the second time, simply pull the loose end through the hole to make a 1/2 bow.  Baby Shower nautical theme, napkin decorationDecorations for nautical themed baby shower
Boat rope food tags: These were very easy to make turned out really cute. Simply purchase some boat rope from the hardware or boat store. Put quite a bit of glue to two ends and wait for the glue to dry (I used tacky glue and it worked great). Once the glue is totally dry, take some heavy scissors and cut to the desired length. Create food tag by using the Create printables with MS Word Guide. nautical themed baby shower food
Lemon boat food tags:  These were really easy to make and added a lot of color to the table.  I used a paper cutter to cut a sware out of colored paper, then used the cutter to 1/2 that square into a triangle.  I folded triangle so that I could glue the wood dowel on the inside.  Then take a different piece of colored paper and use the same square but it down one more time.  Glue the inside together.  Use a mini-wodden dowel as the mast and glue the larger triagle to the dowel and then glue the smaller one behind.  Print out the food tags using MS Word and stick it in a 1/2 a lemon. Message in a Bottle:  Take a large box and fill it with sand.  Put an empty wine bottle in the box.  Cut twine in large enough pieces so that guests can roll their message and tie it with the twine.  Print out instructions and guessing cards or create your own square printables using MS Word another application.  I also printed out “Message in a bottle” using different fonts for every word and glued a larger piece of navy blue paper behind it as a boarder. Origami Boats for Decor:  It searched YouTube to learn how to make these origami boats, I placed them throughout the house and bathrooms to add color and decor. Nautical themd baby shower decor
Gifts Table:  To ensure guests knew where to place their presents, I created an origami boat and printed out a Gifts Tag.  I glued the gifts tag onto the base of the boat, put a light blue piece of colored paper as background and framed it. Nautical themed baby shower decor
Sugar Shower Scrub -  We made a home made sugar body scrub as the favors.  We simply made the scrub, put it in jars that were purchased at the grocery.  We then printed out “From our Showers to yours” on sticker paper and cut them out to fit the lid of the jar.  We then removed the lid and stuck the sticker to the top.  Added some burlap and anchors for added decor. Jello boats:  These are so easy to make.  Make some blue jello and separate it into individual clear cups to solidify.  Once the jello is set, peel and separate an Oracle into slices.  Cut a white piece of paper into squares with a paper cutter or scissors then cut that in 1/2 to make a triangle.  Fold over a mini wooden dowel and glue.
